Tiger Safaris in India

Seeing your first tiger in the wild is an experience unlike any other, one that’s almost impossible to put into words. It’s an unforgettable encounter that every wildlife enthusiast hopes to witness at least once. But planning a safari that gives you the best chance of making it happen can feel overwhelming.

Booking a tiger safari in India involves countless decisions, from choosing the right national park and the best travel dates to selecting safari zones, lodges, naturalists, and even coordinating airports or railway stations. With so many moving parts, planning the ideal trip can quickly become complicated. That’s where we come in.

We curate private, naturalist-led wildlife safaris tailored to your interests and travel style. Whether it’s your very first safari or you’ve spent years exploring the wild, we design bespoke junglee journeys that make every moment in the field count.

What 10 years of Jungle Safaris in India Teaches You

Over the last decade, we’ve traversed breathtaking landscapes, tracked some of the country’s rarest birds, hiked in pursuit of snow leopards, and explored the best tiger reserves in India, learning firsthand what creates a truly exceptional wildlife safari experience. That journey has helped us identify the best parks, the ideal seasons, expert naturalists, and the finest lodges giving you the best possible chance of encountering your target species in the wild.

All you have to do is arrive with a pair of binoculars and a sense of adventure.

Why Travel With Us

Private Jeep Safaris

Explore the forest at your own pace in a safari vehicle reserved exclusively for you and your group. Prefer fewer crowds and more secluded routes? Simply let your driver, guide, or naturalist know, and they’ll help you discover the quieter corners of the reserve. Experience the wilderness on your own terms and focus on the wildlife you’ve come to see.

Experienced Naturalists and Guides

Years of exploring India's wild spaces have helped us identify the finest naturalists and guides across the country's leading parks. Many have grown up alongside these forests, while others have dedicated decades to studying and understanding wildlife. Their tracking expertise, local knowledge, and ability to interpret the rhythms of the forest elevate every safari into an immersive and rewarding experience that goes far beyond a drive through the jungle.

Lodges We’ve Actually Stayed In

A great safari experience doesn’t end at the park gate, and where you stay matters just as much. But photos can be misleading, and reviews don’t always tell the full story. That’s why we only recommend lodges we’ve personally stayed in. We believe where you stay should feel every bit as considered as the safari itself, which is why we only partner with properties that offer the comfort, hospitality, and understated luxury we’d expect for ourselves.

Everything Taken Care Of

Safari permits, vehicle allocations, zone selection, lodge bookings, airport transfers, inter-park logistics, and on-ground wildlife updates. Every detail behind your safari is taken care of by us, so all you have to do is arrive. We don’t just plan safaris, we create seamless journeys into the wild.

India’s Best Tiger Reserves

India is home to more than 70% of the world’s wild tiger population, spread across over 100 national parks and wildlife sanctuaries. Each landscape has its own character, shaped by distinct habitats, ecosystems, and biodiversity. While tigers inhabit forests across the country, the chances of encountering one on safari can vary dramatically from park to park. These five tiger reserves offer some of the highest chances of tiger sightings in India.

Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve

If your dream is to see a tiger in the wild, Tadoba is where we’d start. Widely regarded as one of India’s most reliable parks for tiger sightings, this reserve has earned its reputation through consistently rewarding safari experiences. With a healthy and growing tiger population, it is also one of the few parks where choosing the perfect zone becomes less important than simply spending time in the forest. Just 2.5 hours from Nagpur, with excellent connectivity to Pune and Mumbai, Tadoba is one of the easiest reserves to escape into for a short wildlife getaway.

Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve

Bandhavgarh has long held legendary status among tiger reserves in India and boasts one of the highest tiger densities in the country. For generations, wildlife travellers have returned to this forest for its extraordinary sightings and timeless charm. Rolling hills, open grasslands, quiet streams, and dense woodland come together to create a landscape that feels alive with possibility. Around 3.5 hours from Jabalpur, Bandhavgarh remains a remarkable destination for those hoping to experience the thrill of seeing a tiger in the wild.

Kanha Tiger Reserve

Kanha is a forest that stays with you long after the safari ends. Said to have inspired Rudyard Kipling’s vision of The Jungle Book, this reserve offers what many consider the classic Central Indian safari experience. Towering sal forests, expansive meadows, and thriving herbivore populations come together to create one of the most beautiful wilderness experiences in the country. Combined with decades of conservation success and a healthy tiger population, Kanha stands among India’s finest safari destinations. Despite its sense of remoteness, Kanha is accessible from Jabalpur, Raipur, and Nagpur.

Pench Tiger Reserve

Just a short drive from Nagpur, Pench is a forest that rewards those who enjoy more than just the search for a tiger. The Pench River winds through a landscape rich in biodiversity, creating exceptional opportunities for photographers, birders, and wildlife enthusiasts. Spanning both Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, Pench offers two distinct safari experiences, each with its own terrain and character while sharing a thriving ecosystem.

Ranthambore Tiger Reserve

A park that needs little introduction, Ranthambore is one of India’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Famous for its tigers and dramatic setting, it is a place where history and wilderness exist side by side. Ancient fort ruins scattered across the landscape give Ranthambore a character that few national parks can match, creating a safari experience unlike anywhere else in the country. Accessible from both Delhi and Jaipur, it remains a favourite among wildlife photographers and first-time safari travellers alike.

It's Not Just About Tigers

Tigers get all the attention (fair enough, they’re magnificent). But India’s wildlife story is so much bigger. From lions and rhinos to elephants, gibbons, snow leopards, and even red pandas, there’s a whole wild side of India waiting to be explored.

Asiatic Lion

The last remaining population of the Asiatic Lion is found in Gujarat, India. Once pushed to the brink of extinction, the species has made an incredible recovery and stands as one of India's greatest wildlife conservation success stories.

Location: Gir National Park

Leopard

Often overlooked in a country famous for its tigers, the Leopard is one of India's most elusive big cats. A master of disappearing in plain sight, every sighting feels earned.

Location: Jawai Bandh Leopard Conservation Reserve, Satpura National Park

Indian One-Horned Rhino

The Indian One-Horned Rhino is another conservation success story. Thanks to decades of protection and conservation efforts, populations continue to grow steadily across key landscapes. Seeing these giants in the wild is something you will never forget.

Location: Kaziranga National Park, Manas National Park, Dudhwa National Park, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

Asian Elephant

The Asian Elephant can be found across the forests and grasslands of North, Northeast, and South India. Watching one move through the wild is unforgettable. Few wildlife sightings in India leave quite the same impression.

Location: Jim Corbett National Park, Kaziranga National Park, Manas National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park

Hoolock Gibbon

India's only ape, the Hoolock Gibbon, lives high in the canopies of Northeast India. Their loud, echoing calls and effortless movement through the trees make every sighting memorable.

Location: Kaziranga National Park, Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary

Snow Leopard

The Ghost of the Himalayas needs no introduction. Master of camouflage and perfectly adapted to mountain life, the Snow Leopard moves across steep slopes with unbelievable ease. Spotting one is among the rarest wildlife experiences in India.

Location: Spiti Valley

Red Panda

How do you describe the charm of a Red Panda? You probably can't. Seeing one in its natural habitat, moving quietly through the forests of the Eastern Himalayas, one of those moments that can only be experienced, not explained.
